LOOKOUT POINT - PRERADOVIĆ (892.50 m)
Arriving in the Municipality of Fužine, you must not miss climbing the Preradović lookout point, which offers a beautiful view of the lakes Bajer and Lepenice, Ličko polje, Vrata and the surrounding mountain peaks.
The promenade starts from the Čoka peninsula (1 km from the center of Fužine) and initially leads uphill above the tunnel on the highway to the Preradović peak (892.5 m). The ascent is 45 minutes or 2.3 km long.
Other hiking trails leading to the top are:
H1 Lookout Preradović
H2 Bayer - Lepenica
H3 Fužine center - Potkoš lake
H4 Spring - Roswell
H5 Path of light
A shorter, steeper road and a slightly longer, gentle ascent separate to the very top above the motorway. Just before reaching the top, the trail leads along the edge of a rock with an open view of Lake Bajer and the center of Fužine. In the background you can see Ličko polje and the peaks Veliki Kobiljak, Medveđak and Zagradski vrh.
There are two more opportunities to climb. One is equally long and follows the hiking trail from Vrata, across the highway and above the tunnel it connects to the promenade from the Čoka peninsula. The last possibility of ascent is from the direction of the Vrelo cave along the ridge to the lookout point. All options are equally long and equally difficult.
Already in the 19th century, a path to the top was built, and it was the first promenade in the Municipality of Fužine!
The trail connects numerous natural resources - natural beech forest, lookouts, karst phenomena, due to which it was placed through information and educational boards. In the extension, you can reach the Vrelo cave with your back.
Appropriate footwear (boots or sneakers) is mandatory.
